Supreme nel corso della sua storia ha prodotto e rilasciato moltissimi prodotti che hanno avuto un successo di risonanza mondiale, che hanno raggiunto prezzi di resell a dir poco esorbitanti. Ma il fiore all'occhiello del brand newyorkese sono senz'altro le Box Logo, che negli anni, tra release super limitate e sample che ancora devono debuttare, sono diventate un elemento fortemente attrattivo per tutti gli appassionati.

Una delle Box Logo più ricercate e chiacchierate del momento è senz'altro quella mostrata da Virgil Abloh durante l'esibizione "Figures of Speech", tenutasi l'anno scorso a Chicago. Essa riscosse un immediato successo sin da questo suo primo avvistamento, rappresentato appunto a tutti gli effetti una collaborazione tra Supreme e il fondatore di Off-White.



La cosiddetta "MCA" Box Logo Tee si presenta con un look abbastanza semplice, composto da un base bianca, sulla quale spicca il box suddiviso in tre fasce cromatiche (rosso, verde e nero), messe in secondo piano rispetto all'immancabile branding "Supreme", riportato in bianco. L'importanza di questa maglietta risiede però nel suo significato, in quanto la bandiera che costituisce il box rappresenta la Diaspora Africana e, più in generale, la Black Freedom. 



Proprio per questo motivo, si pensava che questo style sarebbe stato rilasciato al pubblico durante le recenti proteste per il Black Lives Matter, ma le aspettative dei fan sono state deluse quando questa voce è stata smentita da Supreme stessa, la quale ha dichiarato che questa Tee, almeno per il momento, resterà soltanto un sample; attualmente ne esistono una manciata di esemplari al mondo, quantità che la rende una delle Box Logo più rare di sempre.



Una di queste introvabili T-shirt è ora in vendita sulla pagina Instagram Duke's Archive, alla modica cifra di 10000€, rendendo questo item un vero gioiello.

In June 2019, Virgil Abloh debuted his “Figures of Speech” Gallery in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. This marked the first museum exhibition for the Louis Vuitton Creative Director. Abloh was raised in Chicago by parents who emigrated from Ghana. Virgil cultivated a deep interest in music, fashion and design. In 2013, he designed the album cover for the Kanye West “Yeezus” project. Joining a young collective of creatives who quickly emerged as multi disciplinary artists. In 2018, Abloh was rewarded the job at Louis Vuitton as head Creative Director. The exhibition reflects on both Virgils personal experience and creatons, and the global evolution of street culture among various fields. Arguably the most talked about attraction is the picture of Chicago music icon Chief Keef wearing an unknown, unreleased Supreme Box Logo. On the image, we see Chief Keef holding up his jewellery while rocking the “MCA Box Logo”. The colours red,black and green on the Supreme logo represent the Pan-African Flag. The flag was designed to represent people of the African Diaspora and to symbolize black freedom. The image of Chief Keef is very powerful because it symbolises a moment in time where a kid of immigrants is the head creative director of Louis Vuitton and hosts his own exhibition in the MCA. Chief Keef, one of the most influential artists of the last decade - and the pioneer of Chicago Drill Music. The Pan-African flag, and Virgils creations all come together in this exhibition. The t-shirt was never released and will never come out.
